Oliver! Oliver!

By Meg Mclellan and Sarah Graham, Gap Year Assistants, Dunhurst
Dunhurst’s production of Lionel Bart’s Oliver! in the Olivier Theatre this week highlighted not only the incredible talent of the pupils but also their ability to rise to challenges with limitless enthusiasm and energy. Each performer expertly embodied Dickens‟ much loved iconic characters as well as giving them their own ‘twists’.

Dunhurst - Bedales School

When the entire company of 120 Dunhurstians took to the stage, the sense of community that they exuded and dedication of the pupils was palpable for the audience. The show was packed for the full three nights and lived up to the great anticipation that surrounded it as the performers captivated and enthralled their audiences.

The success of the production however must also be attributed to the creativity and great dedication of the staff particularly with the music, dance and costumes. Well done to all those students who committed themselves so fully to this marvellous play.
