Youth Dance Platform a great success

By Claire Gammon, Teacher in Charge of Dance

The Youth Dance Platform with visiting schools was a great success again this year with strong Bedales and Dunhurst performances: “it’s such a great opportunity for us to see the work of other dancers. It really helps us put our work into context.” said Bella Watts (Block 4). 6.1 and 6.2 girls performed a beautiful trio to the piano score of Amélie and by contrast Alex Siantiu (6.2) performed a great piece of street dance to an amazing score that he edited and mixed himself. Block 4 dancers made their debut: “I was shaking, but loved it. Once I came off, I wanted to go back on!” said Edie Martin (Block 4). Dunhurst performed a wonderfully fun piece that included fairy tale characters. Charlie Raines (OB) performed with fellow students from the University of Bath. View photos. Read more.
