Dunannie is hosting an art exhibition next week which will feature a wide variety of artwork for sale by silent auction – from both professional and amateur artists, in many mediums including bronze sculptures, intricate metalwork, photography and paintings.
Much of the artwork has been donated and there are some amazingly talented parents and ex-pupils across the three schools, as well as siblings, relatives and friends. Many local artists will also be exhibiting their work. Dunannie is aiming to raise a record-breaking amount of money for their chosen charities – locally based Hounds for Heroes and Big Brother Mouse, a child literacy charity based in Laos. A small portion of the funds will be given to the school to provide an Artist in Residence who will come in to work on art projects over the coming year with Dunannie pupils.
The exhibition is open on Thursday 22 March, 9am to 9pm and on Friday 23 March, 9am to 6pm. Access to the hall will be via the Dunannie playground. Everyone is welcome. View exhibition poster.
