Bedales Art and Design 2012

The Art Studios and Workshop was transformed into satellite galleries sitting alongside our permanent Gallery for this year’s Bedales Art and Design exhibition. A large range of exhibits from across the school was on show but with a particular emphasis on the externally examined pieces from the BAC, AS and A2 courses. This year, 6.1 Product Designers have worked on lighting projects and Textiles students have produced a range of jackets. The Textiles course, firmly identified with imaginative and well-finished clothing, will be known as the Fashion Course from next year. Figurative work is strongly represented, as always, in the Art exhibition, with notable examples of life-drawing, portraiture and landscapes, in a wide-ranging display.
