Powerful and dramatic dance

A Level and BAC Dance students performed their examined choreographed pieces recently in the Olivier Theatre. Bedales Dance Performs gave the audience a chance to see budding and leading choreography and dance talent, and gave students the chance to put their pieces in a professional setting and experience live performance. There was a powerful piece called ‘Dualism’ by Emily Blackley (Block 5), which featured dancers in elasticised full length tubes and ‘With Ropes’ a dramatic piece based on human struggle by Ochre Seagrim (Block 5). The Junior Dance Company performed a Street Dance piece and Elize Layton (6.2) presented her final A Level project about the disaster of the Tsunami. Bedales Dance Performs


Bedales School is one of the UK’s top independent private co-education boarding schools. Bedales comprises three schools situated in Steep, near Petersfield, Hampshire: Dunannie (ages 3–8), Dunhurst (ages 8–13) and Bedales itself (ages 13–18).
