PRE students inspired by National Gallery

By Lili Bidwell, Block 4
Block 4 PRE students went to the National Gallery recently. This term we have been studying Jesus in art, and in preparation for our assignment, we went to the gallery to see paintings of Christ. We each had an audio guide, which, along with our teachers, told us lots of interesting things about each of the paintings. My personal favourite was, ‘The Baptism of Christ‘ by Piero della Francesca, in which he used many lines of symmetry and things like the Golden Ratio, which we had recently studied in PRE. This was just one of the amazing paintings that we saw, and I know that we all thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
